A trio of angels!

These three stunning panda-style bears were completed this week admist the chaos of trying to redecorate the kids rooms! (for the last 18mths they've both wanted to share a room - but I think the strain of being in each others pockets has finally taken it's toll and the fighting got beyond ridiculous. So we've moving them out, repainting the spare room and moving them back into their own spaces! This doesn't sound like that big of a deal when you write it out like that - but OH MY GOSH do they have a lot of crap between them! Too many hours have been spend sorting through toys and clothes, which meant that these three bears have taken a lot longer to complete then normal.

(Chelsea's room is nearly finished - she was chuffed to find an old princess dress-up dress that matched her walls! Also - note the tricky use of our faux fur 'Amethyst Sparkle' for her curtains! I wasn't sure if it would work - but it actually looks really cool and works as block-out curtains too due to the density of the pile! Byron is taking some convincing on colour choice though. Right now he wants frog-green, but Daddy and I are trying to persuade him to try a stormy blue or mint green instead!).

But the three Angel bears did finally get finished today - and they were all listed on our website earlier this evening. And they're all now adopted!

We do have a very limited amount of kits though, if you're interested in having a go at making one of these pretty pandas yourself? There's only one kit available for the sweet girl below, and it can be found in our etsy store. If you just like her mohair, we have one fat 1/4m piece of the caramel/beige coloured mohair left in stock, and the polar white curly kid mohair can also be found in store.

And the sweet lady below was made from the polar kid mohair again, and a piece we hand-dyed a stormy grey. We don't have any more of the medium kid mohair dyed in this grey colour ( we do have a longer 40mm pile piece), but we do have some in buttercup yellow, and cobalt blue that would also pair nicely with the white in panda-style like this. Or even with each other to make a really vibrant panda! Our pattern for these panda's is our 16" Lyric design.

And lastly, sweet Gabriel Angel bear. He too has been adopted, but we have TWO kits available for him that include all the mohair you need, plus the pattern, joints, wings, eyes, pendant etc. This fur is actually really lovely to work with despite being so long, and the effect it gives the bears is divine!

Sweet Echo

We had BIG plans for the Winter Wonderland bear show last weekend. But the plans were a little too large, and we weren't able to get everything done in time. This little lady was one of the bears we'd planned to have made up as a kit example bear for the show.

But, all it means is that instead of selling at the show she is now available to anyone worldwide who would like her. We have just listed her in our store.

We also have 5 kits available for her, complete with the gorgeous Schulte mohair, glass eyes, joints, exclusive Emma's Bears pattern, nose thread, butterfly pendant and a different pair of wings for each kit. You can see the example photos of each of the available kits below:

Winter Wonderland Doll and Bear show - Brisbane 2016

A few photos taken during the Winter Wonderland Doll and Bear fair held in Brisbane this weekend just gone. This was our second year trading there, and we splashed out and ordered and extra big space this time! It was so long I had to use the panorama feature on my camera to get the whole table in the shot (which is why the table looks like it's curved! lol)

We had a faux fur stand with a sample of our range in the fur fur colours/pile types - plus a tub full of faux fur offcuts which proved very popular!

We made some example kit-bears just for the show - which included the owl you can see on the stand there (Lofton), as well as the little panda (Zippy) and the larger panda (Wilkie). All of the critters from the stand are now sold, but if you click on their names you'll be able to purchase a kit for them to make one yourself if you're feeling that way inclined :)

We dyed up a massive batch of gorgeous mohair last week in anticipation for the show as well - which just so happened to end up being a near full spectrum of rainbow tones! All of the remaining hand dyed rainbow fur can be found on our website (we even have some curly kid mohair and some long curly 40mm Schulte mohair in there as well!)

This is Zippy with his kit. He is such a cute little bear - and a great beginner teddy!

And because we had so few bears of our own to bring (having sold out during the eBear online bear show the fortnight before), we decided to bring all of the available Orphan Bears too (bears made by other artists from all over the world). A few managed to find new homes, but there are still some stunning bears still available.

(and on the Sunday, my gorgeous little sister Lilly came along to help me again. She is just the most gorgeous thing!)
